The PGA Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship will provide a platform for our best young golfers across the country, and gives them a chance to showcase their talents for a national audience.
Notah Begay, former PGA Tour athlete and NB3 Foundation Founder and Board Member, continues his love for the sport by helping to build opportunity for the youth of tomorrow by sharing with them the love of a game that lays a foundation of respect, strategy, and honor. The opportunity provided to the youth aims to grow the game of golf by providing a platform for players to compete against the best juniors in the country in a true, open qualifying series.
“Working from a golf cart all this week, I am so proud to watch my daughter Emma play in the game today reflects the growth in diversity of the players. As the only Native American in the Washington State Legislature, I honor the opportunity that Notah Begay has brought to communities and to the Golf World,” said Representative Lekanoff. “I am inspired by the Foundation’s commitment to our youth, and as a mom, it continues to be a pleasure to walk so many of these courses and to see our youth out and engaged, competing, and laughing with one another. It is so important for our youth and our children to see people like them not only in the State Legislature, but also participating and competing in sports like golf. The Notah Begay III Junior Golf National Championship will bring our top youth golfers into countless homes across the country and around the world, and I cannot wait to tune in myself.”
