Dear Friends,
In the wake of the seismic shift brought about by the recent elections, I write to you with a message of unwavering resolve and hope. The return of Donald Trump to the White House, alongside his running mate JD Vance, coupled with Republican control of both chambers of Congress, presents us with unprecedented challenges. But make no mistake – Washington State stands against the tide of regression threatening to sweep our nation.
Our response to this new political landscape is clear and forceful. We have elected Governor Bob Ferguson, a titan in the fight for justice and equality, to lead our state. As our former Attorney General, Ferguson’s record speaks volumes – he stood toe-to-toe with the previous Trump administration, filing nearly a hundred lawsuits to defend our rights and values.
Now, as we face the prospect of renewed assaults on our freedoms, Bob Ferguson stands ready to shield Washington from federal overreach and protect the values that define our great state.
Governor-elect Ferguson’s transition from Attorney General to Governor is not just a change in title – it’s a rallying cry for all who believe in a fair, just, and inclusive Washington. His track record of fearlessly challenging powerful interests and championing the rights of every Washingtonian makes him the leader we need in these turbulent times. From safeguarding reproductive rights to aggressively tackling climate change, he has proven time and again that he will not back down when our values are under threat.
Joining forces with Governor-elect Ferguson is our new Attorney General Nick Brown, a legal powerhouse whose experience as a former U.S. Attorney equips him to navigate the complex legal battles that lie ahead. Together, they form an indomitable duo, ready to defend Washington’s interests against any and all federal policies that threaten our way of life.

We will resume our regular newsletters in January, transitioning from campaign mode to governance. But rest assured, our work never stops. Every day, we are fighting to build a Washington that lives up to our highest ideals – a state where justice, equality, and opportunity are not just words, but realities for all.
