A Thanksgiving Edition of Fantastic Friday!
Dear Friends,
This week, I am so happy to bring you a Thanksgiving edition of Fantastic Friday!
We have so much to be thankful for as we reflect on the past year, and first on my list is your continued support. As we take a moment to reflect on the election that just passed, I am thrilled to continue representing you in Olympia for my third term in the Peoples’ House.
Together we have accomplished so much during my time in Olympia, and looking back I am so thankful to live and work in this place we all call home. The 40th LD is beautiful both for it’s natural splendor, and for the people living here. I am so thankful for this community, and for each and every one of you.
I hope today finds you surrounded by those closest to you, and that you enjoy this time spent with loved ones and family.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Another message I’d like to end on is a similar celebration of Native American Heritage Month, and Native American Heritage Day!
For more than 10 years we have honored the day following Thanksgiving as Native American Heritage Day, and it has always been a time for love and reflection that I hold very near to my heart.
We should all take a moment tomorrow to honor the countless generations that have come before us and called this place home – it is because of them that Native and Alaska Native tribes continue to grow and reclaim our pasts, celebrating our culture and looking to the future.
I want to thank all of the incredible Native and Alaska Native people – my friends and family – who have taught and guided me throughout my life. You have helped me accomplish so much in my life, and I am eternally grateful for all of the support and love I continue to receive.
Finally, I want to reiterate my thanks to each of you, and encourage you to take a moment and express any gratitude you feel towards the people you love. This is a time to come together and celebrate one another – and I can’t wait.
Keep an eye out for more Fantastic Fridays ahead of the 2022 Legislative Session.
